Fabrizio Busignani and Stefania Lucia Zeroli at the Workshop on the Treatment of Socially Dangerous Offenders in Foggia

With the patronage and collaboration of the Puglia Region, the Universities of Foggia and Bari, with the support of the Foggia Bar Association, Network Maul, SIPRiFo, the Italian Society of Forensic Psychiatry, the support of the ASL Foggia and the Puglia Regional Professional Associations of Psychologists and Social Workers, an interesting workshop entitled "Treatment of the Socially Dangerous Mentally Ill Offender between Recovery and the Need for Containment" was held on October 24, 2025 in Foggia, at Palazzo Dogana, organized by the Metropolis Consortium.

The conference was attended and welcomed by the Mayor of Foggia, Dr. Maria Aida Episcopo, the Councilor for Health of the Puglia Region, Dr. Raffaele Piemontese, the General Director of the ASL FG, Dr. Antonio Giuseppe Nigri, the Acting Prosecutor of the Court of Foggia, Dr. Silvio Marco Guarriello, the President of the Supervisory Court of Bari, Dr. Silvia Maria Dominioni, as well as the Director of the UIEPE Puglia-Basilicata, Dr. Valeria Pirè, the President of the Order of Psychologists of the Puglia Region, Dr. Giuseppe Vinci, the President of the Order of Social Workers of the Puglia Region, Dr. Massimiliano Fiorentino, and others.

Speakers at the conference included Prof. Felice Francesco Carabellese, as chairman of the first session, and Attorney Fabrizio Busignani will present a presentation entitled "Whoever defends dies. Reflections on media and social media distortion against the presumption of innocence," with the participation of Dr. Stefania Lucia Zeroli as co-chairman of the conference's fourth session.
