The Court of Appeal of Turin puts an end to the so-called criminal trial "Tubor": no condemnation and revocation of confiscations

03-02-2023

After almost ten years, the Tubor trial has finally come to an end.

The Court of Appeal of Turin took note of the Attorney General's waiver of the appeal then proposed by the Public Prosecutor against the acquittals decreed with the first instance sentence of the Court of Verbania of 22 July 2013 after 83 hearings and more of 150 witnesses heard.

Obviously, however, the times were elephantine and all the crimes up to 2005 had already been declared time-barred in the first instance, which is why the Court could only declare the time-barred nature of the remaining crimes against the defendants who had been convicted.

Not only that - after 15 years - the restitutions of the seized assets have finally been ordered to the defendants already acquitted in the first instance, including one of the company's former directors defended by the lawyer. Fabrizio Busignani.
