Judgment of acquittal for a man accused of sexual crime against a minor

08-01-2025

A disturbing procedural matter concluded today, 8 January 2025, with the full acquittal of a man accused of a very serious sexual crime against a minor with the broadest possible formula, that is, because the fact does not exist.

The investigations by the Milan Public Prosecutor's Office began following a report received from the school attended by a minor after the pupil had sent a letter to the teachers in which violent conduct on the part of the mother was assumed.

During the investigation, the hypothesis emerged that, in reality, the minor had been the object of sexual attention by a man who was therefore subjected to trial.

The hearing of the minor, which was also carried out in ways that were completely inconsistent with the Guidelines of the scientific societies on the subject, had not dispelled the doubts of the defense who, instead, had strenuously defended the unjustly accused man.

Following a complex hearing, the Court of Milan, Criminal Section 9, yesterday ascertained the absolute non existence of the crime alleged against the accused, defended by the lawyer. Fabrizio Busignani who - during the trial - had demonstrated the man's absolute non-involvement in the accusations he made.

Strong and understandable satisfaction was expressed by the accused after almost 7 years of judicial ordeal.
