Sentenced to eight and a half years and to compensate his little victims with 100 thousand euros: the verdict against a 56-year-old former policeman from Induno Olona, ​​accused of sexual violence against minors, is harsh. The device was read last night at 6.30 pm in the court of Varese, after almost two hours in the council chamber, by the president of the college Orazio Muscato (Elisabetta Ferrazzi and Anna Giorgetti on the side). Basically, the requests of the prosecutor Massimo Politi, who wanted 10 years, were accepted, also including the crime of bribery of minors, a case for which the man was acquitted.
Arrested in 2009 by his former colleagues of the Mobile Squad of the Varese police headquarters, he is still in prison, detained in the military penitentiary of Santa Maria Capua in Vetere. Yesterday he wanted to be present at the hearing. His lawyers, lawyers Giovanni Caliendo and Stefania Fabbri, have in any case filed an application to modify the precautionary measure, before the sentence is executed. The reasons will be filed within sixty days: from then on he will have three months to appeal.
The decision was in many ways expected: the testimony of the offended parties was acquired a year ago, in the preliminary hearing, crystallized in the form of an evidentiary incident. During the examination, they had deposed the three victims of his morbid attentions. Two kids had confirmed the allegations. The third, on the other hand, had partially modified the first version: he would not have suffered any full intercourse, but would have been the victim of heavy harassment.
